Owner and Master Instructor, Jenny Miller, grew up in a family owned company, "Triune Dog Training Academy" (triunedogtraining.com). Owned by her parent's Joan Meyer and Greg Oberhelman, Jenny had the opportunity to watch, listen, learn and study their methods of dog obedience and behavior modification, which helped lead to her complete understanding of all types of dogs. Her first experience by herself was training on-leash dog obedience to a very stubborn Basset Hound when she was only 4 years old. Since this training experience she immediately developed a passion working with dogs. At the age of 6 she started competing in dog agility with her German Shepherd, Starr. Within 2 years Jenny and Starr (pictured under Jenny in below picture) made it to the United States Dog Agility Association National Championships competing against other junior handlers. Participating in this sport, Jenny excelled so quickly that by the age of 12 she begin to compete with her Shetland Sheepdog, Jodie (pictured behind Jenny in the below picture) against adults through the American Kennel Club all over the United States winning many ribbons and titles along the way. Jenny and Jodie competed at the AKC National Championships several times against the adults, with great success. At the age of 13 she began specializing in aggression management and behavior modification of all breeds and sizes of dogs. By the age of 15 years old Jenny Miller began to train several dogs a month that were enrolled into her parent's Triune Training Academy program, start to finish, by herself. Beginning to understand dog psychology, physics and mechanics have been imprinted into Jenny Miller by the time she could walk.

Co-owner, George Miller, grew up on a farm owned by his parents Don and Cathy Miller. He has three sisters and four brothers. George started learning hard work, dedication, compassion, ethics and righteous duties from the beginning. His compassion and morals for helping people and animals are above extraordinary. Upon meeting Jenny and seeing her dedicated compassion for loving and training dogs he immediately gained interest in becoming a part of the business with her.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business from Sterling College, George and Jenny Miller opened Special K9 Dog Training.

Their unique training approach includes the "Triune" system, as described on the home page. They know it is neccessary to assess and modify the three areas for the greatest outcome. They have a gift for connecting with dogs, and they respond to them almost immediately. They will teach you what you need to know to do the same for your companion and will also make sure you have a chance to apply what you are learning throughout the process.

Building on the "Triune" background, George and Jenny strive for excellence in developing a loving, obedient and loyal companionship with their client's and their best friend.

Their son, Joey Miller was born in June of 2015. He already enjoys and does a great job working with the dogs!

Their daughter, Cali Miller was born in June of 2017 :-)
